Biography
The Ineo Quartet has a long and exciting history, despite its new formation. Both violinists of the quartet are founding members of Selini quartet, which, after seven successful years, dissolved in the year 2022. The violinists, however, decided to continue playing the quartet and presented the re-founded group early 2023 under the name „Ineo“. The years as Selini Quartet brought them many prizes at international chamber music competitions, such as “Prague Spring”, “Ysaye”, “Szymanowski” and appearances at festivals, such as Salzburger Festspiele and Grafenegg Festival in Austria, Gent Festival van Vlaanderen in Belgium, Ickinger Frühling in Germany, Steirischen Kammermusikfestival in Austria, Nafplion Festival in Greece, at the Festspillene Helgeland in Norway and more. The Ineo Quartet appeared in Austria, at Viennese venues such as Beethoven Museum, Museums Quartier, during concert series “Echo of the unheard” of Exilarte. Internationally, the Ineo Quartet has made its debut in Paris, performing at Conservatoire national des arts. They have also been invited to perform at Festivals such as “Trame Sonore” in Mantova (Italy), at “Styrian Chamber Music Festival” in Graz and at “Sion Festival” (Switzerland), where they performed together with artists like Pablo Barragan, Reinhard Latzko and Lena Belkina. Since their formation, they are working under the guidance of Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet), and were inspired by musicians such as Alfred Brendel and Pavel Vernikov.
