The Finalists 2024
The Eden (South Korea), Elmore (Great Britain) and Fibonacci (Great Britain, Spain) quartets are the three finalists of this 13th edition of the International String Quartet Competition Premio Paolo Borciani.
They were announced from the stage of the Teatro Municipale Valli, at the end of the fourth and final round, by the President of the Jury, Sonia Simmenauer with the artistic director of the Competition, Francesco Filidei and the other members of the jury: Lorenza Borrani (Italy), Kim Kashkashian (USA), Garth Knox (Ireland), Jonas Krejci (Czech Republic, Pražák Quartet) , John Myerscough (England, Doric String Quartet), Abel Tomàs (Spain, Cuarteto Casals).
Due to a health problem of one of the members, the Arete Quartet was unfortunately forced to withdraw.
Sunday 16 June is the day of the final. At 4 p.m. it begins with the program that the three quartets have chosen to be judged for the last time by the jury and also by the public, who will be able to vote for their favourite quartet.

Eden Quartet: Ludwig van Beethoven Quartet in B flat major No. 13 op.130 (finale: Grosse Fugue op.133)
Elmore Quartet: Johannes Brahms String Quartet in A minor op.51 no. 2
Fibonacci Quartet: Franz Schubert Quartet in D minor D810 ‘Death and the Maiden’ D810
The jury will then meet and the results will be announced in the evening during the award ceremony, which will be conducted by Arturo Stalteri, journalist and voice of Radio Rai Tre.
